Fashion policing the coffee shop

Usually, I would nix a school teacher wearing athletic shoes to class. I think they need higher standards than the kids. However, when one foot and leg are in a soft cast for bunion surgery, and the other foot is in an open toe, backless wedgy, ummm, No, go with the athletic shoe for stability. Let's not have a fall and break the other leg.
