Locks of love

The pretty college student and I were chatting about John Boehner (Speaker of the House) being the speaker at her graduation ceremony. Then I noticed her hair had been cut since the last time we spoke, so I asked about it. And she told me about Locks of Love. This is the second time she's grown out her hair for others. Quietly and beautifully doing something for others.

One of the regulars has cut off his pony tail. I asked him about it today. He said he grew it after he retired, causing his adult children much cause for concern. He said he was able to remind them how much grief they'd given him over hair a few decades ago.

Fifty years ago, I had a pony tail, too.
